Short Fellowship Course
To share our expertise, Lucknow Eye Centre, Lucknow has decided to embark upon short term fellowship courses for practitioners in eye care who wish to hone their skill and expertise in following fields:
- Out Patient Examination Of Retina Patients
- Retina OT
- Optometry Essentials
First two courses are mean for practicing Ophthalmologists. Duration of first two courses is two weeks with 6 working days. The third course is for working Optometrists and will be of one month duration. The fellowship candidates selected for above courses will have first hand on the job exposure under the guidance of surgeons, some of them having more than 20 years of experience now and have performed thousands of surgeries covering every area of eye care.
To start with, we are starting first Fellowship programme of 2 weeks duration as per details below:
Fellowship Programme Name: Out Patient Examination of Retina patients
Duration : from 19.5.2024 to 31.5.2024
Time : from 10.00 hours to 17.00 hours with deferred tea and Lunch breaks of total 60 minutes
Venue: Premises of Lucknow Eye Centre, Lucknow
The above OPD fellowship Programme will cover following:
- Introduction of Lucknow Eye Cetre, Lucknow
- Indirect Ophthalmoscopy and Fundus drawing
- Diagnosis and Evaluation of diabetic retinopathy
- OCT- knowing the macine and interpretations
- Angiography
- Ultrasound B-Scan
- Patient Interaction
- Brief Introduction to laser treatment of retinal problems
- Management Talk by Experts- by Panel of Experts
As is clear, the whole programme will have two components:
- Classroom learning from experienced speakers
- Hands on learning with experienced mentor by your side
After successful conclusion of this inaugural course, a printed and signed certificate of attending the fellowship programme will be issued to all participants.
Other modules will be introduced and put in website for response of interested eye care professionals for mastering the basics of Retina treatment and surgery subsequently.
